Resin Research BIO 2000 CE Epoxy

Resin Research BIO 2000 CE Epoxy Resin is part of the Bio Science epoxy system, an ECOBOARD certified bio-based laminating epoxy developed for surfboard construction. It incorporates renewable raw materials while maintaining the performance and consistency expected from a Resin Research epoxy system.

BIO 2000 CE is optically enhanced specifically for white surfboards. The CE formulation gives the resin its distinctive blue color and is designed to optically enhance white foam, producing a bright white finished board with a subtle cool blue cast.

The Bio Science system provides excellent color stability, along with high gloss, chemical resistance, and good resistance to amine blush. CE is the preferred BIO option for white boards where optical brightening is desired.

For white surfboards only. Because of the optical brightening package, BIO 2000 CE is not recommended for resin colorwork, airbrushed color, wood laminations, carbon fiber, or any other application where the underlying color needs to remain unaffected. For these applications, use Resin Research BIO 2000 Clear Epoxy Resin.

Hardener options and working times:
Slow Hardener (2100S) – Pot life ~30 minutes | Flip time ~4 hours
Fast Hardener (2100F) – Pot life ~20 minutes | Flip time ~2 hours
Kwik Hardener (KWIK) – Pot life ~15 minutes | Flip time ~1.5 hours
