Resin Research 2000 Clear Epoxy Resin is a high-clarity laminating resin designed for applications where accurate color and material appearance are important. Unlike optically brightened PH Ultra and CE Ultra resins, 2000 Clear does not introduce an optical color cast, allowing the colors and materials beneath the laminate to remain clean and true.
2000 Clear is the preferred choice for resin colorwork, airbrushed surfboards, wood laminations, carbon fiber, and other applications where the underlying color needs to remain unaffected. It is especially well suited for tints and pigments, helping maintain the intended color without interference from optical brighteners.
Its excellent UV stability and resistance to yellowing help the epoxy remain clear over time, even with prolonged exposure to sunlight. This makes it a strong choice for clear laminations where long-term clarity is important.
Developed by surfboard builder and epoxy pioneer Greg Loehr, Resin Research has been developing epoxy systems for surfboard construction for more than 40 years and is the most widely used epoxy resin system in the surfboard manufacturing industry.
