Bahne Fin Box Jig Plate

The Bahne Fin Box Jig Plate is designed to install Bahne fin boxes with clean, consistent results. Used with any 1/2" top-bearing flush trim router bit, it produces a precise 1/16" resin flange around the fin box for professional-quality installations.

The jig plate can be repositioned during routing to accommodate different fin box lengths. By routing one end and then moving the jig plate to complete the opposite end, the same template can be used to install 6.75", 7.5", 8.5", and 10.5" Bahne fin boxes, as well as many compatible imported fin boxes. Precision machined from aluminum with a non-slip rubber base, it's built for years of dependable use.

Installation Tip

Always make multiple depth passes (for example, 1/2", then 3/4", and finally the full depth) rather than attempting to route the entire depth in a single pass. When routing through the stringer, work slowly to help prevent splintering and produce a cleaner cut. The top-bearing router bit follows the inside edge of the jig plate using the same routing method as FCS II and Fusion installation templates.
