Bench Plane

The Bench Plane can be used instead of an electric planer if you truly want to shape a surfboard by hand. This tool works well for "skinning" the blank or making long cuts removing foam just as a planer would. Blade must be adjusted from stock setting for best cuts. The high-angle of the blade is not ideal for fine cuts or for cutting the stringer. 

Cutter adjusts easily for depth and alignment. The high-impact polymer handles and knobs are contoured and polished to give you a great grip that permits accuracy and long use without fatigue.
