The 7.5 oz 38" Volan surfboard fiberglass cloth is a traditional longboard material widely used in classic surfboard construction. Known for its distinctive green-tinted fibers and heavier weave, Volan is favored by shapers and glassers building traditional longboards where added weight, strength, and a classic aesthetic are desired.

The 38-inch width is essential for longboard and SUP construction, allowing full deck and bottom coverage with proper rail lap development. This helps achieve clean, continuous wraps around the rails while maintaining the wide, flowing lap style commonly seen in traditional longboard glassing.

Compared to standard E-Glass, Volan has a stiffer hand and slightly heavier drape, which results in a more solid, dampened flex pattern in the finished board. It wets out well with both polyester and epoxy resins, producing a strong, durable laminate with a distinctive classic appearance that has been used in surfboard building for decades.
