Mini Spokeshave

The Mini Spokeshave is a traditional surfboard shaping tool used for reducing and leveling the wood stringer around the nose rocker, where the tight curvature of the blank can make larger planes difficult to use.

Its compact 3-1/2" overall length provides excellent control in curved areas, while the 7/8" wide blade is adjustable to control the depth of cut. This allows the stringer to be gradually brought down flush with the surrounding foam.

Made in the USA by a small company that has been producing this tool since the 1950s, the Mini Spokeshave has long been a standard tool for surfboard stringer work.

Applications

Ideal for trimming and leveling surfboard stringers around the nose rocker and other tightly curved areas of the blank.
