1/2" Carbide Router Bit

The 1/2" Carbide Router Bit is the preferred router bit for the Bahne Fin Box Jig Plate. Its top-bearing flush trim design follows the inside edge of the jig plate to produce a clean, consistent 1/16" resin flange around the fin box for professional-quality installations.

It can also be used with homemade plywood templates and other custom routing jigs for installing FCS, Bahne, and other compatible fin boxes. Featuring a durable carbide cutter with a 1/4" shank and 1" cutting length, it's built for clean, accurate cuts and long service life.

Installation Tip

Always make multiple depth passes (for example, 1/2", then 3/4", and finally the full depth) rather than attempting to route the entire depth in a single pass. When routing through the stringer, work slowly to help prevent splintering and produce a cleaner cut.
