Artu Hobby Plane

The Artu Hobby Plane is a compact hand plane well suited for precision stringer work during surfboard shaping. Its narrow body provides excellent control when trimming and leveling a wood stringer while minimizing contact with the surrounding foam.

Similar in function to the David Plane, the Artu Hobby Plane features a slightly narrower body for controlled, detailed work. One of its biggest advantages is its use of standard razor blades, making replacement blades inexpensive and easy to find at most hardware stores.

The plane includes a 5-pack of double-sided blades, so it is ready to use out of the package.

Applications

Ideal for trimming and leveling wood stringers during surfboard shaping, including detailed finish work on hand-shaped and CNC-cut surfboard blanks.
