Brass Finger Plane

The Brass Finger Plane is a compact precision hand plane designed for detailed stringer work during surfboard shaping. Its small size provides excellent control and works particularly well for cutting the stringer down through flatter areas of the surfboard blank.

A thumbscrew provides quick adjustment of the blade depth, allowing the depth of cut to be fine-tuned as you work. This makes the plane useful for gradually bringing the wood stringer flush with the surrounding foam without unnecessarily removing material.

The body is machined from cast brass and fitted with a 5/8" wide steel blade. The blade holds a fine cutting edge and can be resharpened as needed for continued use.

Applications

Ideal for precision trimming and leveling of surfboard stringers, through the rocker and flat areas of the surfboard blank.
